Nerija Hotel in Nida, Lithuania

Hotel Nerija is located in a quiet street near the centre of Nida. Nida is the administrative centre of the municipality of Neringa on the Curonian Spit. The hotel is within walking distance of both the shore of the Curonian Lagoon on one side of town and the beaches that fringe the Baltic Sea on the other. The unique landscape that surrounds Nida has been recognised as a world heritage site by UNESCO so there is plenty for guests of the hotel to explore on foot, on a bicycle or on the local bus.

Hotel Nerija has fifty-seven cosy, comfortable rooms that vary from small double rooms to two-bedroomed apartments. I was very happy in my quiet, simple attic room. An elevated terrace overlooks the neighbouring pine forest and there are sitting areas on the spacious landings of each floor. The spacious restaurant is open for dinner in the evenings and serves very good food. The perfect place for a short break in Nida.

Getting There

I flew to Palanga from London Stansted with Ryanair. Air Baltic also offers flights to Palanga. From Palanga I got a taxi to KlaipÄ—da where a regular ferry crosses to the Curonian Spit and a public bus service goes up and down the spit. There is also a car ferry for those who prefer to hire a car.
